I’ve been active throughout my life. I played elementary and high school sports. When I attended college I started working out at a standard gym and became an “eliptical girl”. I never touched free weights until I started CrossFit.
My sister-in-law started CF and recommended I try a class. I decided to take a 6 week intro. class at my local CF box at the time. I learned a lot, but the box wasn’t a good fit for me.
After my first daughter was born, I wanted to find a new CrossFit box and my mother-in-law told me a new gym had opened in Milford, CrossFit Souhegan. I met Coach Cory, Sarah, and Eric and knew I had found my home! They practiced what they preached which is something I’m a believer in. I never looked back and I am more fit at 32 than I ever was at 22!
I’ve always been a believer in helping others and since I’ve become a mom of two, I’ve wanted to help other parents maintain their health not only for their families, but for themselves. There’s a stigma out there that once you’re married and have children, your life is over and so is your health. That couldn’t be more un-true! It’s important to take care of yourself and equally important to set the example for your children to live a healthy lifestyle.
I believe that CrossFit is a relationship. It takes hard work and commitment each and every day. With consistency, members grow both physically and mentally. People achieve things they never thought possible. Nothing makes me happier as a Coach than seeing that relationship and love of CrossFit grow within each member. To see people work hard every day towards their goals is something I am so blessed to be a part of.
